1.1. About us (who manages processing of personal data?)

The manager of personal data processing on the companywall.si portal is Companywall d.o.o. from Ljubljana, Kuzmičeva 7, registered at the Commercial Court in Ljubljana, DŠ: SI55591175. You can contact us at info@companywall.si or by phone on 01/ 320 92 92, 070/ 574 654.

1.2. Who is our personal data protection official?

Our personal data protection official is Mr. Matjaž Šiška. You can contact him directly at gdpr@companywall.si .

1.3. To whom does this Personal Data Protection Statement apply?

This statement applies to the processing of personal data (1) of natural persons associated with business entities and activities in the Republic of Slovenia, which are the subject of our services, and (2) data of our registered users and subscribers and their employees, to the extent that they are listed natural persons.

2. Processing of personal data of natural persons associated with business entities

2.1 Purpose and legal basis of data processing

Our core business activity is the collection of data about business entities and their processing, linking and presentation in a form that is useful to our users. The purpose of this activity is to provide our users with high-quality information about the financial condition, operations and risks of Slovenian business entities.

When we collect data from publicly available sources of public authorities, we act on the basis of the Act on the Right of Access to Information, specifically the provisions that authorize us to reuse public sector information.

The legal basis for the collection and processing of personal data of natural persons associated with business entities is the legitimate interest of our users. Namely, the information we process helps our users make better business decisions, which includes better risk management, prevention of fraud and abuse, gaining insight into the qualities of potential business partners and other assessments relevant to their business. Ultimately, our business activity contributes not only to the interests of our users but also to the general public interest, since it supports and enables the transparency of business activities and consequently the general benefit to the economy in a way that respects the balancing of private and public interests.

2.2 Personal data that we collect and process

Although our activity is focused primarily on the collection and analysis of data on business entities that are legal entities, part of the data we process is "personal data" in the sense of the General Data Protection Regulation. For example, we are talking about data about craftsmen, owners of business entities, members of companies, members of corporate bodies, persons authorized to represent, etc. We collect and process the personal data of these persons only and exclusively to the extent that they are directly related to a business entity, that is, if they themselves perform business activities.

Furthermore, it is possible that during the processing of data on business entities and activities, we also collect and process certain data on natural persons participating in procedures in which the party is the business entity that is the primary subject of data processing.

We do not collect or process particularly sensitive data in the sense of Art. 9. General regulations.

2.3 Who do we share this information with?

The information we collect and process is made available to our registered users and subscribers, who may be other business entities or natural persons. Furthermore, a smaller part of the information is also available to unregistered users, via the public and freely available part of the Companywall.si portal. In any case, we point out that on the Companywall.si portal personal data is presented in the same or smaller amount compared to the same data published in public registers and other publicly available sources.

2.4 How long do we keep the data?

In order to provide our users with as precise an insight as possible into the activities of the business entities that we analyze, through our portal we enable the review of data on activities that go back to the past. The processing of this information is important since the activities in the past are a quality indicator for assessing business expectations in the present and future. For this reason, we usually store the data we collect permanently. We delete the data we have collected if we deem that their processing is no longer necessary or useful for our business activities.

2.5 Data sources

We collect the data necessary for the presentation of information about Slovenian business entities from various sources, including:

  • publicly available sources of public authorities (public registers)
  • other publicly available sources
  • our business partners

2.6 Automatic processing of personal data, including profiling

On the Companywall.si portal, we use automatic data processing to present certain information about business entities. To the extent that business entities are natural persons (eg craftsmen), this includes the automatic processing of personal data. Furthermore, we use the automatic processing of personal data to display the links of a specific person to the extent necessary to meet the business needs of our subscribers. It is important to note that this processing of personal data does not result in any legal consequences for the persons whose data is processed. The network of links represents only and exclusively information that our subscribers may or may not take into account in their business.
